Short term...tonight through Tuesday night...upper level trough 
will be moving across the region tonight. Partly cloudy skies for most 
locations except mostly cloudy with isolated showers over the 
mountains. Breezy/windy conditions will continue through sunset then 
diminish overnight. Strongest winds will be in the Columbia 
Basin..Kittitas Valley..and The Gorge southward to Redmond. Local 
gusts 30-40 miles per hour expected through about 8pm. Upper ridge starts to 
build into the Pacific northwest on Monday. This will provide fair 
weather with warmer temperatures and lighter winds. Increasing middle 
and high level clouds Monday night as warm front approaches the Pacific 
northwest. This front will move through on Tuesday/Tuesday night with 
mostly cloudy skies and possibly some light rain. Significant warm 
up will begin on Wednesday. 94 


Long term...Wednesday through Friday night...strong ridging will 
continue to build into the region Wednesday through Friday. Although 
significantly drier and warmer conditions can be expected...there is 
a slight chance for mountains showers on Wednesday as a warm front 
moves through the area. Otherwise...mostly clear skies and light 
winds will allow the area to warm into the middle 80s by Thursday...and 
possibly into the lower 90s on Friday. Calder 


Saturday and Sunday...models are still staying pretty consistent 
about the upper level ridge expected next week...GFS is moving about 
12 hours faster than the European model (ecmwf). Saturday will be a bit warmer than 
Sunday as the ridge pushes off to the east Sunday afternoon. There 
is the possibility of a marine push of cooler air associated with a 
surface low Sunday night...so have kept temperatures just below 90 
on Saturday and in the middle 80s for Sunday. Virtually no probability of precipitation in the 
forecast period. However this marine push could provide some 
mountain showers Sunday night. Weber
